Winston Park Primary School Trust
The Winston Park Primary School Trust (the “WPPS Trust”) is a registered non-profit organisation, formed on 31 May 2013 to invest in Winston Park Primary School, its teachers and, ultimately, its children — because investing in the school is investing in the children.
About the Trust
Primary school is where the foundations are laid for a child — in the classroom, on the sports field, and emotionally and socially. Through the funds raised by the WPPS Trust we are able to offer less fortunate children sponsorships, and to provide WPPS with facilities that set it apart. A core function of the Trust is also to become involved in the local community through various outreach projects that ultimately benefit the School.
It is during primary school that children are most receptive to their teachers, seeing them as a good influence and an example to live by. Working together with student teachers through WPPS’s internship programme allows us to offer opportunities to deserving students who become role models to our children.

Tax benefits (Section 18A)
The WPPS Trust is an approved SARS Section 18A Public Benefit Organisation (PBO), so donations are tax-deductible in the hands of donors — limited to 10% of a donor’s taxable income, with any excess rolling over to future years. International donations are also welcome; please contact us and we will assist. The Trust’s financial accounts are subject to an external audit.
HOW YOUR GIFT HELPS
Community investment
The role of the WPPS Trust is to attract donations from alumni, past and current parents, and potential benefactors — both locally and abroad. These donations fund capital projects to enhance the School’s facilities, provide scholarships, and promote quality education at the School. Donors can contribute to a capital project (as a major donor with potential naming rights, or as a part contribution), provide a scholarship to fund learners, contribute as a group (for example a ‘class of’ project), or fund development in a particular sphere of the school such as academics, sport or culture.
