Sport
Sport is a proud part of life at Winston Park Primary. Across all four terms, our learners take to the field, court and pool — building fitness, teamwork and a healthy competitive spirit, with codes to suit every age group from our youngest Mini players right through to our senior teams.
A sport for every season
From the swimming pool to the cricket pitch, the netball court to the rugby field, there is a place for every Winston Park learner in our sporting programme. Our Mini codes give Grade 1, 2 and 3 learners an early introduction to organised sport, while our senior teams compete with pride and purpose throughout the year.
TERM 1 TO TERM 4
Sports by Term
Term 1
Swimming, Cricket and Netball.
Mini sport (Gr 1–3): Girls’ Mini Netball and Boys’ Mini Cricket.
Term 2
Netball, Rugby and Girls’ Soccer.
Mini sport (Gr 1–3): Girls’ Mini Soccer and Boys’ Mini Soccer.
Term 3
Hockey (Boys and Girls) and Boys’ Soccer.
Mini sport (Gr 1–3): Girls’ Mini Hockey and Boys’ Mini Hockey.
Term 4
Netball, Cricket and Swimming.
Mini sport (Gr 1–3): Girls’ Mini Netball and Boys’ Mini Cricket.
Whatever the season, our learners are encouraged to get involved, give their best and enjoy being part of a team. We can’t wait to cheer them on.
